Turmstube im Landhotel Birkenhof in Neunburg vorm Wald

This recession relates to the restaurant visit at the Hotel Birkenhof. We were at the Birkenhof for our civil wedding with 12 people (August 2020). We had already registered 8 weeks earlier with the information that it was the relevant occasion. Decoration at the table was absolutely loveless or not available. Tables were laid out separately with 3 people per bench - way too narrow to be honest. We sat outside on the terrace, right at the entrance - everyone passed by. The heat accumulated extremely under the corrugated iron roof. The service was really bad - not nearly courteous, not nearly polite - just bad and unmotivated. After the starter and main course, we put an end to the whole thing and dodged it privately for coffee and cake. For us the last time there - we cannot recommend an official event in this restaurant / location. The interior was darkened by blinds and looked more like a basement than a restaurant. Loveless place settings and loveless service have to be accepted here. We were guests of the restaurant in the hotel and therefore only reflect the impression as a hotel guest in relation to the restaurant and the service in the restaurant or the reception. Unfortunately, we cannot report anything about the other offers of the hotel.

Quite a good ambience and acceptable food, but one thing is not possible: Hotel guests and external dinner guests are divided into two classes. While hotel guests receive the full dinner program, there is only a stripped-down service for external guests despite demand. No thank you!!

Ambience and food were okay, only the service had neglected us, does not work at all !!! 😡 Will not visit this place again!

September 2012 Beautiful decor, especially friendly service, good food in the hotel, especially good, very creative cuisine in the star restaurant Eisvogel: Tasteful decor, eye-catcher is the futuristic wine cabinet. With well-stocked wine list. Perfect! A recommendation for friends of excellent cuisine and those seeking relaxation who seek peace and nature.

The rooms, the hotel and especially the location and view are in the simple category your money several times worth. The beds could be a bit bigger. The packed lunch for before 6 o'clock back, is really great.
